WHO USES US

The minibus provides a valuable social service for the area, helping groups of people who need transport. For example, we run a ‘Rothbury Shoppers’ scheme on Fridays, collecting people from their homes in Rothbury and the surrounding area and bringing them into the village for shopping and services.

In normal times we run over 200 trips a year and we provide a service throughout the area, with our users ranging from schools and clubs to members of the community who take advantage of the outings and excursions we offer. We hope to re-establish this sort of activity as soon as the Covid pandemic allows.

 

Our car was acquired primarily to support access to healthcare in the area. It provides transport to and from GP appointments at the hospital in Rothbury, as well as services further afield at places such as Wansbeck, Morpeth, Cramlington and Newcastle.

Our drivers also provide access to Covid vaccination facilities in Alnwick.
